poster print Frame

Can I transfer an printed poster to canvas?

I have an original Gregory Colbert Ashes and Snow printed poster from his Mexico City show. I was wondering if there is a cost-effective way that I can transfer this poster to canvas. My local art/framing shop would charge me $250+ and I was thinking I could do it on my own if I knew what I needed and how to do it. Any comments from someone that has transferred a poster to canvas would be helpful. Thanks!
