Old Western Movies

Does anyone like watching old western style movies anymore?

Unfortunately none of the few Westerns made in recent years have done well at the box office either in the U.S. or Europe,
and in fact The Unforgiven directed by Clint East wood in 1992 was the last sizeable Western box office hit, and before that most Westerns released since The Magnificent Seven in 1960, and the Sergio Leone directed Fistful films starring Clint Eastwood and also some John Wayne made in the 60s, had also been flops.
Even the totally superb 'The Wild Bunch' directed by Sam Peckinpah in 1969 did disappointing business. Westerns particularly those directed by John Ford, Howard Hawks,
Sergio Leone, Sam Peckinpah and Clint Eastwood continue to be regarded very highly by film critics and cineastes, but I rather doubt that this genre will become popular again with cinema audiences.
